In our world, they think, that all people must speak English. English is the language of international communication, Is it really a very necessary thing for everyone?
First of all some people believe that children must study English in every school, because if you speak English, it shows your level of intellectual development and also you can understand other people, who speak English.You can make new friends from other countries, because you can communicate with them.
Secondly it can help you in your future, you can live in a foreign country or your future profession will be connected with English.
Also there are some people, who think, that it isn't necessary...
They think, that they waste your time , when they study English, because in our world there are more serious problems than the ignorance of the English language, and they take the time to better advantage. For example in poor countries, people know, that it isn't necessary for them to know English, because they have to somehow feed their families and they don't have time to study English. And in these poor countries, the government is building English clubs, but they would better build hospitals.
More over these people don't like the situation, when people use English words instead of Russian ones. For example in the world of business there are too many English terms: management, laptop, development and so on.
As for me, I agree with people, who think that English is a good thing for everyone, because I think, that it is really cool, when you know English, you can communicate. And in my near future I want to begin to study one more foreign language!
