What top students should do :
- Get Organized: making a plan for what you are going to do and when you going to do it will make sure you're always ahead of the curve -literally.
- Sleep: don't underestimate the importance of those eight hours every night. Getting a good night's rest will sharpen your focus and improve your working memory.
- Set a schedule: top students should find a schedule that works for them and stick to it.
- Take notes: taking notes will not only keep you more engaged during class, but will also help you narrow down what you need to study when exam time rolls around.
- Manage the study space: find a place that will maximize the productivity. Look for places away from the television and other distractions. Whether it's a local library or just a place somewhere outside. So, take away the telephones and computers!
What top students shouldn’t do:
- Stay up all night working: you may think that if you spend all night for studying , it will give you good results. However these hours are thoroughly horrible and definitely don’t produce good work.
- Sit on social networking sites while studying: sitting on Facebook or Instagram might seem like way to make working less stressful and more fun, but it’ll make it harder to focus and really think through a problem.
- Stress out when they fail: even the best students mess up. Don’t let one bad grade dishearten you.
- Work in a bedroom: working in your room always seems like a great idea at first, but actually it’s a way to unproductive work.
- Plan to work right up to a deadline: you end up working just as hard as everyone else, but later, and often more frantically.
