The Introduction of the Noun

The Noun.

As you know, every day and everywhere we surrounded by different nouns, but have you ever asked the question “what is it?”. So the noun can be a person, a place, a thing and an idea. Students usually forget about ideas)))

Different grammar books provide us with the following definition: a noun  is a word that functions as the name of some specific thing or set of things, such as living creatures, objects, places, actions, qualities, states of existence, or ideas. As for me the definition given by khanacademy.org is more to my liking! As it contains the most essential ideas: any noun is a person, a place, a thing and an idea.

For example :

These are Juign and Wilya. (two persons)

They are in Hong Kong. (a place)

This is their best selfie. (a thing)

They plan great future. (an idea)
